Objectives:
To be responsible and accountable for the department overtime and claim hours purpose.

Overtime request
  • All requests for overtime must be approved by the Department Manager or in his/her absence, the Assistant Department Manager before the overtime take effect.
  • All requests for overtime payment either in cash or claim hours must be determined by the Department Manager or in his/her absence, the Assistant Department Manager before the overtime take effect.
Overtime rates
  • All requests for overtime in cash terms will be calculated at $3.50 an hour.
  • All requests for overtime in claim hour terms will be calculated at 8 hours which equals to a day off.
Overtime duration
All staff can only work overtime for a maximum of four hours per day.

Overtime in other departments or sections
Permission must be obtained from the Department Manager to work overtime in another department or section.

Overtime submission and claims
  • All overtime claims will be compiled by the Asst. Department Manager and submit  to the Human Resources Department every month for payment.
  • All claim hours to be rostered out the following month.
